Hone your skills and tactics by taking part in Team Indomitable's Counter-strike: Source weekly challenge, and stand to win a cash prize of $50. Only at Game Haven.
This challenge will be held every Saturday between 1pm to 7pm.
Aims
To provide a platform for new/current CS:S teams a conducive environment for lan gaming.
- Gamehaven Computers are of decent specs, average of 150-250fps at max settings
- Game server will be running at 100tickrate
- To provide a opportunity for teams to learn from each other.
therefore increasing the level of CS:S gameplay through competitive lan gaming.
To enjoy CS:S and winning attractive prizes at the same time for the amount of time spent. Lastly, to build suspense to the upcoming CS:S Lan League coming up in early november, sustaining the CS:S community.
Details of the challenge are as follows:
- The challenge will be done in a best of 3 format, with match config MR15.
- Maps that can be played are namely : de_dust2, de_inferno, de_nuke and de_train
- A coin toss will decide the map/side that will be chosen by the team with the winning toss.
- A 2nd/3rd coin toss will be also done for subsequent maps/sides.
How the challenge works

A total of 3 teams on a first come first served basis will be selected. This 3 teams will be announced on our website. The timings for the match will also be posted, also in a first-come first serve basis.
eg. Team A registered first, followed by B and C. Team A will get the 1pm-3pm slot, followed by 3-5pm and 5-7pm etc.
A table of this timing with the selected teams will also be up on our website. Other CS:S teams that are not selected for the week can view the matches view SourceTV. The IP for the SourceTV will be up on our website on the day of the challenge. Demos for the match will also be made available after the week’s challenge.
And finally to the team that beats us, the reward to the CS:S Weekly Challenge @ Game Haven “NEXT” will be $50 cash. This reward is not finalized and will be updated soon.
P.S the amount for the cash prize will definitely remain, questions is will there be any addtional non-cash prizes.
